Hello Corporate Stays customers and colleagues! We are thrilled with our new partnership with Corporate Stays. Come along with us on a ‘virtual tour’ of the shopping, sightseeing and epicurean delights that you will experience while staying with us in one of our premiere locations in downtown Halifax – Bishop’s Landing.

At Bishop’s Landing, you will have your choice of a beautiful one, two or three bedroom suite, whichever one best meets your needs. Fully furnished, super comfortable and wonderfully equipped you may be tempted to stay in your suite the whole time, but we’d encourage you to get out and experience some of what this amazing area of Halifax has to offer!

If you are keen on a “homey” night in, you need not venture too far to get some incredible provisions. Head out your door to the Halifax Harbour boardwalk and stroll down to the Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market, a year round venue for all of the best local food and art & crafts that Nova Scotia has to offer. Pick up some great produce, meat and preserves for your dinner in, and maybe a homemade Cornish pasty or fresh fruit smoothie to stave off the immediate hunger.

On your way back to your suite, stop at the Piazza at Bishop’s Landing, literally at the ground floor of your building, and into Bishop’s Cellar (https://bishopscellar.com/), one of the city’s best local wine stores. Talk to one of their sommeliers about a perfect wine pairing for your planned meal-in – you might even find the perfect Nova Scotian bottle. Or stick with some of Nova Scotia’s finest craft beers, a huge selection of which is available at Bishop’s Cellar. You may even luck into being just in time for one of their famous in-store tasting events!

If you are more keen on an evening out, head onto Lower Water street and just across the street from Bishop’s Landing you’ll see Cut Steakhouse, serving one of Halifax’s most upscale and tasty steaks, as well as some great seafood and vegetarian options. Or, if high end Italian is more your style, find daMaurizio’s, a Halifax epicurean institution, in the Brewery Market – after a pit stop to the Alexander Keith’s Brewery.

Regardless of your dinner choice, stop into the Bicycle Thief restaurant for a nightcap, located at the Piazza at Bishop’s Landing. This lovely, upscale restaurant, which is also a great choice for dinner, turns into one of the most hopping watering holes in Halifax as the evening progresses. The best thing of all is that you’re only a short walk across the parking lot to your “home” when the night finally winds down.

The next day, stroll up to Spring Garden Road, for a bit of window shopping at the lovely stores in Halifax’s busy shopping district. At the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, you can venture into Halifax’s beautiful Public Gardens or continue down South Park for a walk around another of downtown Halifax’s great green spaces, such as Point Pleasant Park. You can also stop in at Uncommon Grounds coffee shop just before the corner of Spring Garden Road and Inglis Street for a coffee and a sweet for your walk around the park.
